#TBRDiscoveries:Let’s try some Scorpion Vodka…
Okay, let’s not try some but you know we have to let you know that there are some weird drinks out there, right? I mean, anything more than a couple shots of vodka and I’ll give you an almost flawless rendition of Despacito complete with salsa and body shimmying. That’s the effect regular ol’ vodka has on me. So, don’t blame me if I shudder at the thought of vodka infused with scorpion.
You see, it isn’t that they just got a bottle of vodka and decided to name it Scorpion Vodka. Nope. There actually is a scorpion in the bottle of vodka. If at this stage, your’re going WTH???, then yes, we’re on the same page. I had the exact same feeling the first time I heard about it. I was confused. Who decided “Hey, you know what? Let’s drop this huge scorpion into the bottle of vodka?” What were they thinking? Why were they thinking it?
Scorpion Vodka contains a scorpion. But it isn’t just any scorpion. The makers of the drink say this particular scorpion has been bred in China and is harmless meaning you can actually eat it. I wouldn’t but that’s good to know at least. The scorpion is infused in the vodka for three months and goes through a special detoxifying process before it is sold. Apparently, the whole process neutralizes the scorpion’s venom so you can actually gobble it up and still live.
I wouldn’t but maybe you can. I would need pictures though. Proof that it did happen. That you really drank Scorpion Vodka.
I hear the scorpion is quite delicious. This is another thing you’d have to help me verify if you do decide to have a go at it and that it gives the vodka a soft, woody taste to the vodka and keeps the edges smooth.
So, hey, where are the adventurous roommates?
Who would like a taste of Scorpion Vodka?
I’ll stick to plain vodka. Thank you very much.
